Stephanie is an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Glen Cove Hospital part of Northwell Health System. She embarked on a Global Health Initiative selected as TEAM 1 for the Northwell Global Initiative to Vaccinate Ecuador with Dr. Eric Cioe- Peña MD MPH FACEP Director of Global Health.
"Once I was told I was selected, about 2 days later I was packed and I was on a flight to Ecuador on Sunday June 13th. I was so happy to represent Glen Cove Hospital for such a great experience to to make a difference in Ecuador. I felt happy I was useful both as a health care provider and being fluent in Spanish in order to provide the best care and education for those in Quito, Ecuador."
